Permitting and Warranty Information

Permitting

If you want to build a dock, pier, seawall, or boardwalk on Lake Catherine, Lake Hamilton, or any of the diamond lakes, the local energy company requires that you first obtain a permit before proceeding with construction.

There are several guidelines for residential and commercial permitting that need to be followed, from the amount of frontage required to be eligible to build a boat dock to guidelines for the type of boat dock you can build, whether it’s a floating dock or a stationary one.

Need help with permitting for your shoreline facility or structure?

Commercial Facility Permitting
All proposed commercial facilities; structures or activities that affect project lands and water are subject to the approval of Entergy under authority granted by FERC License. The license requires Entergy to obtain comments from certain governmental agencies and FERC notification/approval prior to Entergy granting approval.

Our Warranty

Super Duty Inc. has a limited lifetime warranty on the welding and design of their custom-built docks for as long as you own your home.  This limited warranty is in accordance with guidelines that your dock never be changed or modified and that all changes or modifications be done by Super Duty, Inc. with their sanction. Any modifications, remodels, additions or alterations not done by Super Duty, Inc. will make your warranty null and void. Any additions of accessories, such as heavy dock lockers, furniture, sling lifts, or other lifts installed and not authorized by Super Duty, Inc. with their approval and recommendations will make your warranty null and void. Any modifications made by any other contractor, electrician, or handyman must be authorized and approved by Super Duty, Inc., and if it in any way modifies the support and structure to add undue weight or stress on the dock flotation and sub-structure of your dock it will void the warranty.

Super Duty Inc. is not responsible for any damages incurred by the customer, boating mishaps that occur, acts of nature such as high winds or flooding conditions, or the irregular lake fluctuations that occur when the drawdown effects are in force. Rapid water falls and rises are beyond the control of Super Duty, Inc, and damages caused by this are not under warranty. It is the customer’s responsibility to safeguard his or her dock to assure that undue stress is not sustained to the structure of the dock. Super Duty, Inc’s floating docks are meant to float, and if the dock rests on an uneven lakebed, this puts a bind on the integrity of the frame and welds. If the dock is not pushed out during drawdown and the dock left to rest on the lakebed this will void your warranty. Rapid water level fluctuations which cause your dock to “hang-up” are beyond the control of Super Duty, Inc., and damages incurred during these situations will not be covered under warranty.

The Super Duty, Inc. warranty does not cover natural wear and tear and depreciation of material over time. For example, Super Duty, Inc. does not guarantee the decking and paint on your dock to last the lifetime of your dock frame as natural wear from weather and human use is assured. There are, however, warranties from the manufacturers of the decking and paint and roofing materials. If you have questions on their warranty, call us for the phone number of the supplier of those products which were used to manufacture your specific dock. Super Duty, Inc. stands behind the use of the best quality product and if Super Duty, Inc. determines that the materials used were substandard Super Duty, Inc. will correct the situation for a period of ONE YEAR. Super Duty, Inc. does not warranty second party products they sell wherein their own warranties will apply. (Super Duty Docks are manufactured in Hot Springs, AR) Super Duty, Inc. has chosen to sell products from manufacturers who stand behind their quality goods and services.
